Crookston, MN Location:

  • Packager I (Night Shift) - $18.00/hr

    JOB TITLE: PACKAGER I

    FSLA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

    DEPARTMENT: PACKAGING

    REPORTS TO: PRODUCTION MANAGER


    Position Overview

    The PACKAGER I is responsible for packaging bulk and bagged products. This position performs interior and external cleaning and sanitation as well as monitors inventory. Attendance and personal accountability in this role are critical. Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.


    Essential Functions:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    • Maintain assigned work areas at the highest possible sanitation level

    • Package bulk and bag products

    • Skilled Forklift Operation

    • Ensure all assigned paperwork is completed correctly daily

    • Maintain a high level of personal and environmental safety

    • Performs all miscellaneous duties as assigned by the department supervisor


    Knowledge and Skills:

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbal and written

    • Attention to detail

    • Proficiency in basic math and computer skills

    • Interpersonal effectiveness as a team player

    • Forklift operation skills and experience

    • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills

    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and safety procedures

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • This position requires a High School Diploma/GED.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Manufacturing or Food Industry Experience and Knowledge of GMP


    Work Environment/Physical Demands:

    This position involves lifting 50 pounds on a frequent and consistent basis. Frequent standing, lifting, bending, stooping, twisting and repetitive arm usage. Frequently works in areas that are not heated or air conditioned.

    JOB TITLE: HAND PACKAGER I

    REPORTS TO: PRODUCTION MANAGER – ROASTING PLANT


    Position Overview

    The HAND PACKAGER I is responsible for assisting the Lead Operator with daily operations to meet production and order fulfillment schedules. Attendance and personal accountability in this role are critical. Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.


    Essential Functions:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    • Maintain assigned work areas at the highest possible sanitation level

    • Accurately count and package retail-ready packs into a master case

    • Palletize packaged product

    • Ensure all assigned paperwork is completed correctly daily

    • Maintain a high level of personal and environmental safety

    • Report any unusual events or occurrences to your supervisor immediately

    • Perform all miscellaneous duties as assigned by the department supervisor


    Knowledge and Skills:

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbal and written

    • Proficiency in basic math and computer skills

Breckenridge, MN Location:

  • Facility Maintenance Technician I - $23.50/hr

    JOB TITLE: FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I

    FSLA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

    DEPARTMENT: MAINTENANCE

    REPORTS TO: MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR


    Position Overview

    The FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I is responsible for maintaining the plant to keep operations running smoothly by conducting preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting with other projects as assigned reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager. Attendance and personal accountability in this role are critical. Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.


    Essential Functions:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    • Maintain assigned work areas at the highest possible cleanliness and organized level.

    • Maintain a high level of personal and environmental safety; use of appropriate PPE/GMP safety.

    • Perform routine and general maintenance on plant equipment.

    • Weld and install equipment following safety protocol and instructions.

    • Complete work orders in order of priority and production needs

    • Ensure all assigned paperwork is completed accurately and daily.

    • Operate forklift and skid loader safely.

    • Maintain and promote communication between all departments and management.

    • Performs all miscellaneous duties as assigned by the department supervisor.


    Knowledge and Skills:

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Ability to communicate with customers clearly and concisely, both verbal and written

    • Ability to use critical thinking to plan and problem-solve.

    • Ability to provide a positive and professional outlook and perspective.

    • Welding, drill press, and hand tool proficiency

    • Mechanical troubleshooting with keen attention to detail

    • Diligence to ensure safety and compliance.

    • Proficiency in basic math and computer skills

    • Interpersonal effectiveness as a team player

    • Must perform tasks in accordance with Sunrich’s GMP Policies and Procedures and all Food and Safety Procedures

    • Manufacturing/Food Industry environment experience


    Work Environment/Physical Demands:

    This position involves lifting up to 50 pounds frequently in a sunflower manufacturing facility. Work is performed indoors, outdoors, and in areas that are not heated or air-conditioned. Work may also be performed in a climate-controlled environment. May be exposed to extreme weather elements on occasion. Requires frequent standing, kneeling, reaching, lifting, bending, stooping, crawling, crouching, and twisting. Frequent climbing and descending staircases and ladders.
