Crookston, MN Location:

  • Finance/Accounting Intern - $20.00/hr

    Finance/Accounting Internship


    Sunrich Products, LLC is a farm-to-table manufacturer of sunflower seeds, headquartered in Crookston, MN with an annual operating budget of $70 million. The Finance/Accounting

    Intern will have a unique and fulfilling opportunity to work with a variety of finance

    management and accounting aspects. If you are looking for an end-to-end experience with a

    Responsibilities

    Under the overall supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, and/or in coordination with the responsible staff, to:

    • Gain an in-depth understanding of accounting operations and create documentation of

    key procedures.

    • Assist Controller and CFO with report preparations.

    • Collaborate on Finance, Accounting, and business functions.

    • Perform financial data analysis and historical multi-year trend comparisons and prepare

    reports on key performance indicators.

    • Analyze payables in the ERP system and assist in inquiries and recordkeeping of vendor

    invoices, travel claims, and other payment requests.

    • Assist in reviewing the payment documents to ensure compliance with the Financial

    Regulations and Rules and administrative directives, and check against purchase orders

    and other commitment documents to ensure consistency and accuracy.

    • Assist in month-end reconciliation procedures.

    • Support other ad-hoc projects and financial matters as they arise.

    • Undertake other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field

    • Intellectually curious with a strong interest in business and finance

    • Experience with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel required. Excel skills must be

    intermediate or above.

    • Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, and interpretative skills.

    • Track record of taking initiative, managing multiple competing priorities, and thriving in

    fast-paced and challenging environments.

    • Cumulative GPA 3.0 or greater

  • Hand Packager I (Production-Roasting) $17.00/hr

    JOB TITLE: HAND PACKAGER I

    FSLA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

    DEPARTMENT: OPERATIONS

    REPORTS TO: PRODUCTION MANAGER – ROASTING PLANT


    Position Overview

    The HAND PACKAGER I is responsible for assisting the Lead Operator with daily operations to meet

    production and order fulfillment schedules. Attendance and personal accountability in this role are critical. Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.


    Essential Functions:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    • Maintain assigned work areas at the highest possible sanitation level

    • Accurately count and package retail-ready packs into a master case

    • Palletize packaged product

    • Ensure all assigned paperwork is completed correctly daily

    • Maintain a high level of personal and environmental safety

    • Report any unusual events or occurrences to your supervisor immediately

    • Perform all miscellaneous duties as assigned by the department supervisor


    Knowledge and Skills:

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbal and written

    • Proficiency in basic math and computer skills

    This position involves lifting 20 pounds on a frequent and consistent basis while hand packing. Frequent standing, lifting, bending, stooping, twisting, and repetitive arm usage. The environment is climate-

    controlled for approximately 95% of the duties assigned.

    Maintain assigned work areas at the highest possible sanitation level

    Package bulk and bag products

    Skilled Forklift Operation

    Ensure all assigned paperwork is completed correctly daily

    Maintain a high level of personal and environmental safety 

    Performs all miscellaneous duties as assigned by the department supervisor
